MidCoast Scuba Center Inc. is the premier scuba diving and instruction headquarters in the Iowa / Nebraska area. MidCoast Scuba Center has been in the scuba business since 1976. We constantly strive to improve our training programs to offer the most up to date instruction available.
MidCoast Scuba Center was the first Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Training Facility, 5 Star Training Facility and first 5 Star Instructor Development Center in a six state area. In 1995 MidCoast Scuba Center was awarded recognition as the first Technical Diving International (TDI) Training Center in the area. In 1998 we moved on to become the area's first Scuba Diving International Training (SDI) Facility and Dive Center, this year we have been accepted as Omaha's only Scuba Schools International (SSI) Instructor Training Facility.
MidCoast Scuba Center is locally owned and operated by the original founder, Terry Hurley. Terry learned to dive in 1970 and became a Scuba Instructor in 1974. In 1988 he became the area's first Instructor Trainer Course Director. Terry has trained many of the instructors who have worked or currently work in other Omaha dive stores.
We have built our reputation on providing personal service, quality equipment, world class diving excursions and in depth diving instruction. We are a Scuba Diving International and Technical Diving International Training Facility with technical diving expertise, specializing in beginner Scuba Training, Underwater Photography, Enriched Air Nitrox Diving and Rebreather UBA's.
