What is the MidCoast Scuba Center On-Line Diver Training Program?
Are you a hard-to-schedule professional, homemaker or swing shifter who has always wanted to experience the adventure of diving, but could never make scheduled class times? If so we have now made it easier for you to fulfill your desire for adventure. MidCoast Scuba Center Inc. is proud to announce our new web-based diver training system. The MidCoast Scuba Center On-Line Scuba Training Program is used to complete the academic portion of your dive training.
The new MidCoast Scuba Center On-Line Scuba Training Program allows you to learn scuba academics in a rich, fully interactive multi-media environment at your own pace, on your own schedule and in the comfort of your home or office. It is available when you are, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Imagine setting your own schedule for scuba training!
Once your MidCoast Scuba Center On-Line Training Program is completed we will orient you to diving, show you practical diving applications and then invite you to go diving with us to exotic and local dive destinations. See our Dive Adventures page. After all, why are you working so much if not to take some time and enjoy life?
You may take the On-Line SCUBA Training Courses out for a "test drive." Click on the logo for the Scuba Diving International On-Line Training Course below. You will be taken to a site that allows you to try out the course and see how it feels. You may also try the PADI eLearning link for a similar "test drive".
At the end of each trial the site will ask you to sign up for their program. We strongly suggest you log off at that time and contact us to ask any questions you may have before signing up. But if you just can not wait, pick the one you like and get going!

When you enroll in our new On-Line Scuba Training Program you will be assigned a Personal Sign-Up Code, a local Professional Scuba Instructor to be your personal "scuba coach" and you will receive a profusely illustrated, full color Companion Text and other training materials to compliment your On-Line Scuba Training Program.

What if I have difficulty with a portion of the Program?
Your personal MidCoast Scuba Center "scuba coach" will track your progress as you complete your lessons. In the unlikely event you have difficulty with any portion of the program, and you decide you need someone to explain any facet of your On-Line Scuba Training, he / she will be available to you via phone, email or even in person at our brick and mortar Training Facility 8831 Maple St. Omaha, NE.

When I have completed the program, what's next?
During or after your On-Line Training (your choice) your personal "scuba coach" (by now you will be on a first name basis) will meet with you at our Training Facility for a personal evaluation of your On-Line Training.

When you are finished with your On-Line Training Program you will be introduced to the practical application of diving theory and complete an orientation to diving. Then we'll take you diving in a warm, indoor dive training pool where you will experience the thrill of scuba. In the training pool you will learn the skills necessary for your first diving adventure. Your personal "scuba coach" will then invite you to travel with us on upcoming Dive Adventures. Be sure to ask about our "No Classroom, No Confined Water" Training Option. It gets you into the water as fast as your On-Line Program can be completed! Soon you'll be blowing bubbles and partaking of the beauty of the under water realm!

What personal equipment will I need for my water training?
When you are ready to get wet you will want your own mask, fins, snorkel and diving booties at a minimum. These items require a personal fit. It's recommended that you invest in your own equipment when you start your course for the following reasons:
You will be more comfortable learning to dive using gear chosen to fit you personally
Divers who own their own equipment dive more
Having your own equipment is part of the fun of diving
Pool sessions interrupted due to poorly fitting or performing equipment become more problematic with make up scheduling, and equipment replacement logistics
We guarantee fit and comfort for any equipment purchased in our retail facility and provide on the spot replacement if necessary.

Sounds great! How do I get started?
To enroll in the On-Line Scuba Program we have made your options 1-2-3 easy.
1.-The best way to enroll in our On-Line Scuba course is to stop in at MidCoast Scuba Center 8831 Maple St. Omaha, NE. You will meet your personal "scuba coach" and receive your On-Line Scuba Companion Text, student I.D. and password. As soon as you can log on to the internet you are learning to scuba dive!
2.- Too busy to stop in? Other ways to enroll are; phone us at 402-391-1559 or email us Info@MidCoastScuba.com. We will immediately provide you with your Personal Sign Up Code and send your Companion Text to you. You will be able to start your On-Line Scuba course immediately without leaving your home or office!

3.- If you just can not wait and want to enroll on your own now, click on this official On-line Scuba Training logo. You will be asked to complete the sign up form and create a personal I.D. and password. Then click on the enroll now button and presto, your On-Line Scuba lessons start immediately! The next time you log on you will not need to use the Sign-Up Code, just the personal I.D. and password you created. It couldn't be more simple!
