Polls show most people are intrigued enough about the adventure of scuba diving that they would be willing to try it. However the logistics of where, when and how much it might cost prevent them from pursuing this long-held ambition. At MidCoast Scuba Center we have been showing people just like you the joys and excitement of scuba for over 35 years. Now with our Try Scuba offer you can eliminate the barriers that have kept you from this life-changing adventure.
If you are concerned about spending your money for lessons to learn to scuba dive, only to discover you may not like diving, this program is for you.
How do I qualify for a free Try Scuba Session?
Some would be divers are not sure they will like scuba diving and are reluctant to sign up for a full course. They are not sure they want to risk the course expenditures.
Try Scuba allows you to find out for yourself the fun of scuba diving. When you sign up for a Try Scuba Session you will be charged the usual $49.00 Try Scuba Session fee. We assure you you will enjoy scuba so much you will sign up for one of our scuba courses. When you do we will apply your $49.00 Try Scuba Session fee to your scuba course. You get to determine that you like scuba diving and remove the risk of signing up for a full course, at no charge!
What do I need to do before the Try Scuba Session?
You will need to fill out a simple registration form including a Medical Statement. Certain medical conditions may require a signed physicians approval before your Try Scuba Session. You will also view a short video about scuba diving and what your will do during your Try Scuba Session. This information will allow your to ask informed questions of the dive Leader who will conduct your Try Scuba Session.
How do I sign up for a Try Scuba Session?

You may reserve a space for one or more divers with a credit card number over the phone! We accept all major cards.
Minimum age for SCUBA class is ten years of age. Divers 10 to 14 years old, upon completing a certification course receive a Junior Diver Certification and must dive with an adult.
No, you need only be comfortable in the water and; (1) capable of swimming 6 laps of the pool continuously, in mask, fins, snorkel, exposure suit and at your own relaxed pace, and (2) tread or float in water too deep to stand up in for 5 minutes.
A swimsuit, a towel and especially remember to bring one additional item to all sessions: a smile, after all you are learning to dive and having fun!
We will provide complete state of the art SCUBA equipment for your Try Scuba Session. You will be in a warm indoor pool during your session.
